Welcome to our lab! We study how human pancreatic β-cells develop and function, and how they fail in type 1 diabetes. Using human pluripotent stem cells, we generate islet-like organoids that model β-cell biology in vitro. Our research combines stem cell engineering, genomics, and computational tools to uncover pathways that control β-cell identity and advance cell-based therapies for diabetes.
